Why SecurePawnSystems exists
Most pawn shops in India still run their ledger on paper. That works — until it doesn't. Books get lost. Pages get torn. A bad night, a small fire, a forgotten safe — and years of records vanish.
The few digital alternatives have their own problems. They live on a company's server, which means every customer's name, address, phone number, and loan amount sits on someone else's computer. For a business built on trust and privacy, that's not great.
SecurePawnSystems takes a different position. Your records stay on your phone, encrypted with a password only you know. Our servers are only there to verify your phone number when you sign in, and to track whether your subscription is paid. Nothing else. We literally cannot read your data.
Who we are
SecurePawnSystems is built and operated by Naveen Kumawat, a software engineer based in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. It is a sole proprietorship — no investors, no board, no growth-at-all-costs. The goal is simple: a tool good enough that traditional pawn shops actually want to use it, sold at a price they can afford.
What "made in India" means here
- Rupee-first. Numbers print in Indian comma format (e.g. 8,42,500). Pawn tickets show "Rupees in words" the way Indian receipts traditionally do.
- Telugu support. Interface and printed tickets available in Telugu. More languages coming.
- UPI / Razorpay. Pay how you actually pay in India. Card, UPI, net-banking, wallets — all supported by the same checkout.
- Hosted in India. The backend runs on infrastructure close to Indian users; payments are processed by an Indian-licensed provider.
Our principles
- Privacy is not a feature, it's the foundation. If we can read your data, so can a determined attacker, a subpoena, or a future bad employee. So we made it so we can't.
- No surprise charges. No auto-renewals. No "free trial that quietly becomes a subscription". You decide each year whether to renew.
- No tracking, no ads. The mobile app has zero third-party analytics, zero ad SDKs, zero trackers. The only network calls are to our backend (for OTP / licence) and optionally to your Google Drive (for backup).
- You own your data. Export to Excel anytime, for your CA or your own records. Encrypted backup file lets you move between phones without us holding anything.
